Your PDFs are none of our business.
PdfCanvas is designed to process documents entirely in the browser. PDF content is not uploaded, analysed or stored on any server.
Local processing
When you open a PDF, the browser reads the file through standard device APIs. Rendering, editing and export happen in the browser tab. The pdf.js worker is hosted on the same domain as the site.
You can verify it: open developer tools, go to the Network tab and check that no request contains your document.
What we store
To let you move from the home page to the editor, the selected file is temporarily stored in IndexedDB on your device. It is removed as soon as the editor opens it.
- No account, profiling cookies or third-party analytics.
- No document, file name or content is transmitted.
- Unsaved changes stay in the tab and disappear when you close it.
Hosting
The site is a set of static files. The hosting provider may record standard technical data (IP address, user agent, requested page) to deliver the service and protect against abuse. These logs do not include PDF content, which is never sent.
